Chris Shafer, FAPC
Testing Manager
Mr. Shafer joined BEE Engineers in March 2018 as a Testing Specialists. In this role, Mr. Shafer worked as part of the testing team conducting Air Barrier and Window Testing. Mr. Shafer is well versed in BEE’s testing procedures and the hands-on happenings of an on-site field test and is an integral part of BEE’s Testing Team. In April of 2021, Mr. Shafer was promoted to Testing Supervisor. In his new role, Mr. Shafer schedules Air Barrier and Window Testing projects, conducts the testing and then follows through by writing the reports for the clients.
Mr. Shafer currently holds the designation of Fenestration Association Professional Certification (FAPC) earned through the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) on December 18, 2020.
Prior to Mr. Shafer’s employment at BEE, he worked as a Laboratory/Field Technician at National Certified Testing Laboratories, Inc. During his eleven years there, he was an NFRC certified simulator for 3 years and also performed lab analysis of air, water, and structural performance of fenestration products, and field analysis of air and water leakage of installed fenestration products in accordance with the AAMA and the ASTM.
Mr. Shafer is also skilled as a roofer, machinist, and basic carpentry skills that round out his skills and make him a valuable employee to BEE Consulting.
